Equal Community Foundation (ECF) supports adolescent boys in becoming gender equitable adults. Their programmes facilitate change through development and implementation of awareness building, behaviour change programmes, research and strengthening networks.
Action for Equality is a behaviour change programme that is designed to work with adolescent boys. Over a one-year period, ECF equips boys with knowledge, skills, peer support and leadership abilities to challenge gender norms, change their own behaviour and advocate that change to their families and wider communities.
To date, 12,600 boys across India have participated in ECF’s programmes and began their journey towards becoming gender equitable and participants are leading nearly 200 local actions each year to challenge gender norms in their communities.
