From Play to Participation: Including Children in The Process of Development: A Report on The Findings of a PLA Project with Children in India

This is a draft report of research carried out with children’s club members in India which was designed to examine approaches and methods to effectively listen to children’s voices and involve children in community planning and action.

The study found that bringing adults and children together adds value to participatory learning and action (PLA) exercises and brings children’s needs to the forefront. Furthermore, PLA findings suggest that children’s clubs have effectively built on children’s capacity to lead, organise, take decisions, and built self-esteem.
